The Powerhouse is a popular word used in the Pilates community to describe the core, or important, central muscles where your power comes from. This is generally considered the area of your body best visualized as a box – the lower ribs on top, pelvic floor below, obliques on either side and everything in between. It is often where you engage to find strength and incredibly important for posture and overall stability.
